Masters week is always a fun time for me. We (the Richardson family) have had Masters tickets for probably 30+ years, and I've spent a lot of very memorable times on the grounds of the Augusta National Golf Club. Although living in Michigan has made it very hard to actually get back down to the tournament live (not because we haven't been asked ... thanks, Rich), I try to follow as much as I can on TV.
This is the only golf event that Karen follows. Pretty early in our marriage (so sometime around 1981 or 1982), Karen and I spent the day following Jack Nicklaus around at Augusta. She was hooked ... not only by the golf, but by the absolute beauty and tradition of the place. We've been back together a couple of times (last time a couple of years ago at what may have been, I think, the coldest day in Masters history).
Saw a little bit of the Par 3 contest today, and I'll try to schedule my work around the ability to watch as much of the next couple of days as I can.
Looking forward to it.
